Continuing to find inspiration in the hospitality

Continuing to find inspiration in the hospitality industry can be difficult. Unending “to do lists” coupled with the constant refrain of “not enough time in the day” can result in just going through the motions. Sometimes, it just takes a moment to smell the flowers in order to recharge. However, sometimes it takes a bit more. Sometimes, it takes a trip to Italy. And, that’s exactly what we did - visiting Genoa, Camogli, Lucca, Florence, Parma, and Milan! Both of us have ancestral roots in Italy, and we thoroughly enjoyed completely immersing ourselves in the food, wine, and culture of each area. We often talk about our philosophy of CulTerra - of local land, of local people. It is what we mean when we think about Goochland and our sense of place. This sense of place includes who we are, our dedication to be stewards of our land, and grow and produce honest products that showcase our CulTerra. This concept permeates Italy and its agri-tourismo businesses. At its core, that’s what we are, here, in Goochland, Virginia. An agri-tourism farm cidery, brewery, and bistro. Anyway, we’ve returned refreshed, inspired, and so excited to integrate some of the ideas we developed while soaking in all the sights, sounds, tastes, smells, and love Italy provided. Join us on the deck and make seasonal floral arrangements this May-October. 💐🥂 M Henry staff will supply instructions, inspiration, flowers, snips, and preservatives. You bring your own container and, if you’d like, any flowers or greenery from your yard or garden to add a touch of home to what they supply.
