Virginia League of Conservation Voters will be joining us on the farm:
Saturday, August 18th | 3 pm – 4 pm
Courthouse Creek Cider, in Maidens Va., is pleased to host the Virginia League of Conservation Voters’ Climate Series. This nonprofit environmental group will focus on the impacts of climate change regarding bees, cider production, Virginia businesses, and local communities.
Guest Speakers include Dr. Richard Groover and Eric Cioffi.
Dr. Groover, Assistant Dean of Mathematics, Science, & Engineering and Professor of Biology at Reynolds Community College, will share his academic perspective on climate change in Virginia.
Eric Cioffi, cidermaker, orchardist, and co-owner of Courthouse Creek Cider, will share his anecdotal perspective on climate change and apple production.
We have met so many home orchardists, apiarists, gardeners, nature lovers, and environmental advocates since we have opened our doors to the public. We hope you will join us and VA LCV at this great event.
Oh, and stay after the meeting to enjoy delicious, rustic cider and Cook County Bluegrass! Event details >HERE<
So bring the family, a picnic, your furry friend, and learn something new while enjoying our rustic cider in the orchard.
