Visiting Courthouse Creek During Virginia’s Phase Plan for Re-opening
We value your safety, and the safety of our employees. Indeed, it is precisely why we were the first craft beverage facility to close our tasting rooms when this pandemic began. Based upon the information provided by the CDC, FDA, and the Commonwealth of Virginia, both our locations are now open. We are all in this together, and respectfully ask for your understanding and compliance with the following:
WHAT IF YOU’RE NOT FEELING WELL?
If you are sick, exhibiting signs and symptoms of COVID-19, know you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 in the prior 14 days, or have a fever of 100.4 or above, you cannot come to the farm! We love you, and want you to be healthy! We’ll gladly ship or deliver some cider to you, and when you are better, would love to have you visit.
HOW CLOSE IS TOO CLOSE?
Please be mindful of others, and maintain at least 6 feet of social distancing from people who are not in your party. If you get up from your table to use the facilities, etc., please wear a mask.
IS THERE A LIMIT TO HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN BE IN MY PARTY?
Both locations can accommodate parties of up to 50 people. If you want to bring a large party, call or email us to make arrangements for such an event!
WHAT DO I DO WHEN I ARRIVE? CAN I GO INSIDE?
There is indoor and outdoor seating at our Scott’s Addition locations. At the farm, the inside area is too small to properly social distance folks. However, there is a covered tent with fans! At both locations, upon arrival, you will be helped to a table. We provide waitstaff for table service.
ARE THE TABLES PROPERLY DISTANCED FROM ONE ANOTHER?
Yes. Seating is at least 6 feet apart. Also, both locations have outdoor seating (lots of it at the farm).
HOW DO I ORDER? WHAT CAN I ORDER?
We will provide waitstaff to take your orders at your table. Waitstaff will be wearing a masks. Single use, paper menus will be on each table. We are offering cider and cider “cocktails” by the glass (disposable glasses), and cold bottles for onsite consumption. Preset flights are also available. Come. Sit. Relax. Enjoy table service.
CAN I MAKE A RESERVATION?
Yes! While reservations are not necessary, we encourage you to reserve a table by calling us at 804 543 3157, or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Leave a message with your name, date, time, where (the farm, or Scott’s Addition), and number in your party. That’s it. No need to wait for confirmation—we’ve got it! If you don’t have a reservation, seating will be first come, first served.
WHY ISN’T MY TABLE BEING CLEARED OF EMPTY GLASSES?
Pursuant to the Guidelines, and to minimize unnecessary contact (waitstaff reaching over you to grab empty cups and bottles), we will likely clean your table only after your party leaves. However, common sense will also prevail and trash removed as necessary.
WHERE’S THE BATHROOM?
The bathrooms are inside. If in use, please respect the social distance of 6 feet. We will help you monitor proper spacing. We will have a dedicated staff member whose responsibility it is to clean the bathroom regularly. Hand sanitizer is available. Please wear a mask while walking to and from the bathroom.
ARE PETS STILL ALLOWED?
Yes, pets are allowed. Please keep them on a short leash, and within your table area. Also, we do have birds and sheep at the farm! Please note, we are a farm, and operate an agritourism business. You assume the risk of any activity inherent in such an operation–including petting or visiting animals. Additionally, we cannot sanitize our animals after each visit and, thus, if you touch them you assume the risk regarding possible exposure to COVID-19, or any other such infectious diseases. Remember, the birds are NOT to be chased, harassed, or handled in any way. The sheep, if you wish, may be petted.
THESE ARE A LOT OF RULES! WHAT THE HECK?
Yes, these are a lot of rules! Please know that we consider state guidelines as extremely important, and necessary to insure the safety of all. If you feel that abiding by these guidelines and our policies is too much to ask, or cramps your style, we fully appreciate and respect your point of view. However, if this is the case, you will be asked to leave. Sorry to be blunt, but it is what it is.
